Tried this: 

rpm -qa --queryformat "%{NAME}-%{VERSION}-%{RELEASE}.%{ARCH}\n"|grep kernel|sort

Got back this: 

kernel-2.6.18-1.2798.fc6.i586

kernel-doc-2.6.18-1.2798.fc6.noarch

kernel-headers-2.6.18-1.2798.fc6.i386

According to this we need to update the kernel.


Followed the link above and got kernel 2.6.22.9-61.fc6.i6

Once I rebooted, the system recognized my wifi interface. I added a new interface via System, Network.

Then I used the kwifimanager to configure!
